Our client operates within the custody, care and control sector through the delivery of detention and intervention services. They currently have an opening for a Bid Process Administrator to provide administrative support to the Business Development Coordinator.
You will be required to perform a range of business development activities including assistance in developing and managing bid processes, and undertake specific assignments as required.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide an administrative support service to colleagues involved in the bid process including proof reading, typing and formatting of bid documentation to ensure a high standard is maintained.
2. Management of bid portals including managing clarification questions/responses and submission of bids.
3. Contribute actively to business development meetings, produce minutes and monitor actions to ensure business development activities are recorded and actions completed within required timescales.
4. Assist the Business Development Coordinator in developing and maintaining accurate and up to date databases of clients, business partners and records of relevant corporate knowledge, e.g. project description sheets, previous bids, company papers etc, to allow information to be assessed promptly.

Skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a busy administrative role is essential
- Excellent IT skills, specifically advanced MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of MS Project would be advantageous.
- Excellent written English (including spelling and grammar) to enable the postholder to effectively proof-read bid documentation.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision, both on own initiative and as a member of a wider team.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own work effectively and meet deadlines.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Tact, diplomacy and experience of handling confidential information.
