A NEW position has arisen for a Mechanical Product Engineer to join a rapidly expanding global company! For this role you will work closely with the R&D function from product inception through to design and implementation. The key task is to ensure that manufacturability and serviceability considerations are fully incorporated into the physical design of the company\'s products. You will need a strong background in mechanical design and have worked closely with process, supply chain, test and reliability departments to solve problems! You will perform new product introduction and sustaining engineering and work on the analysis and drive of mechanical design margins using DFQ (Quality), DFM (Manufacture), DFR (reliability) DFSC (Supply Chain). If you are interested in this role you must have a good degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, proven mechanical design experience with a focus on manufacturing product casings using sheet metal and be familiar with NPI (New product introductions) preferably from a telecommunications background! The role is based in Berkshire and the salary is £35k-£45k with some excellent benefits.
