Job Description
Care AssistantWe are a well established care organization that provides a safe and homely environment where the unique needs of individuals are recognized and skilled staff is available. To ensure this we offer training and development for all staff to ensure that service standards are achieved.You will provide residents with the highest standard of basic care and support, in accordance with the Home\'s philosophy of care and the individual care plan. While acting in accordance with the policies and procedures of the home. RESPONSIBILITIES: •To build up good relationships with the service users under his/her direct care and to provide them with daily care to help them maintain and improve, where possible, their independence, individuality and mobility•To provide the service users with meals served from the heated trolley, adhering strenuously to Food Hygiene regulations•To provide beverages for the service users and their visitors•To help the service users choose from the menu and assist them with eating. Report comments on food and requests for particular dishes to the Chef Manager•To take care of the service users clothing, ensuring the correct collection, distribution and return of all laundered items•To carry out bed making and changing of linen•To keep the service users rooms tidy at all times•Assist with the tidiness of the common living and service areas, ensuring a safe environment•To ensure the security of the residents\' property and that of the Home. Report and hand in any lost propertyTHE ROLE:•Capacity to communicate both verbally and in writing •Positive attitude, passion and willingness to develop skills within Care Worker role •NVQ in Social Care, preferred but not essential •Flexibility to work shift patters •Good interpersonal skills
