Full Description:
My client is a global leader in recycled products and environmental services. The core business is the recycling of metal-rich waste streams arising from end of life vehicles and consumer products, and construction and demolition projects resulting in sales of recycled commodities of around 10 million tonnes a year. The grass roots of the business are the 70 depots spread across the UK and it is at the Swindon depot that we are looking to recruit a trainee manager to play a key role in the ongoing development and growth of the local business.
As a trainee manager you will be trained in all aspects of the business. This will involve learning about Health and Safety procedures and policies, understanding environmental issues, developing good working relationships with suppliers, customers and hauliers and the development and deployment of staff. In addition you will manage and provide cover for the weighbridge and assist with the ongoing administration to implement the local commercial strategy.
This position is a “hands on” role for an individual who has a good sense of humour, works well in a small team and has a positive “can do”, “never say never” attitude. You will need a friendly, confident personality, good IT skills, good communication skills both written and verbal and a full clean driving licence. We will consider candidates from any background or career where they can demonstrate success and if you have mobile plant certified competence that would also be beneficial, but the right approach and attitude are more important.
If you feel you are right for this role, have a good education and would like to join a UK industry leader with the opportunity to be an integral part of a small team within this organisation then we want to hear from you NOW!
Note: Recruiters should never request bank account details or any kind of payment upon applying for a job or during the application process.
Should you receive a request for such information or believe a recruiter has acted inappropriately in relation to your application, please Contact Us with details of the recruiter and the position being advertised.
