Job Description
As a Technical Consultant (Java) you will be joining a leading global online payments solutions provider in Reading to work in their dynamic team responsible for its managed service clients. The company is growing at a phenomenal rate and exciting times lie ahead.
Core responsibilities as a Technical Consultant (Java) include:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the companies’ products through research & testing.
- Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support by accompanying Sales team members to meetings with prospective clients.
- Deliver business consultancy to clients.
- Provide training sessions to colleagues and clients on the use of company products
- Act as a technical resource on consultancy projects – providing advice and guidance
- Ability to intergrate and play with software codes – using either Java, PHP, .Net, Perl to make minor adjustments to suit client requirements
Essential skills include:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pre-sales / sales engineer role in a technical environment
- Experience of using development technologies (Java, PHP, .Net, Perl)
- Educated to degree level in Finance, Business, Science, Engineering or Computing
- Excellent presentation skills and communication skills
- Strong client facing experience
- Happy with the consultancy lifestyle and travel
